Since transitioning to self-employment for education in March 2026, Kumu Moani specializes in teaching Hawaiian language | history | culture | traditions to children aged 9 and older; as well as adult beginners. Through small group and individual instruction, she aims to foster a deeper appreciation for Hawaiian heritage in a personalized and engaging learning environment. With over five years of prior experience as an Educational Assistant at HIDOE, Kumu Moani brings a strong background in education and support for diverse learning needs. Certified as an Elementary School Teacher in the state of Hawai‘i, her expertise includes grades 7-12, entrepreneurship education, and start-up ventures.
